 RESTORATION

GOT RUST?

YOU NEED US

Can't afford a brand new iron gate? Our restoration services are a cost-effective solution for salvaging your existing iron, and we're one of the few companies that offer it.

What Items Can Be Restored?

At this time we only offer iron restoration for 100% wrought iron gates, fences, window bars, or other projects that have individual pickets, posts, or cross members.

This service is ideal for small to medium areas showing signs of rust or corrosion. We do not recommend this service on very large surfaces that are more than 50% corroded. In that instance, the whole gate or project will need to be replaced entirely.

We also don't recommend this service for hard to match paint tones unless the client already has the paint on hand, or knows the exact brand / maker of the color.

How Does Iron Restoration Work?

For Rust Only ( small areas ) : We sand or grind the area to remove any visible rust, apply our permanent rust sealant to the entire area, and re-paint with a rust resistant paint to match your existing gate.

For Corrosion ( small areas ) :  We remove the rotted areas, replace them with new iron, apply our permanent rust protection sealant to the new iron, and re-paint with a rust resistant color to match your existing gate.

All restoration for small areas will be completed on-site and will require electrical access ( min. 20 amp a the property )

For very large areas or whole gates that are showing signs of rust but no corrosion : We offer the option of removing the fence or gate entirely, having it sand blasted and powder coated off-site, then re-installing it.

How Much Does It Cost?

Iron restoration typically costs 40-70% less than custom fabrication due to the "spot treatment" nature of the services.

Estimates are given based on the restoration square footage, materials, and labor. For example, if a new custom build costs $5,000, a restoration may average between $500-$1,500 depending on the extensiveness of the restoration.

Get in touch

Yes, we offer free estimates within our travel zones on the map below. If you are located outside of this travel zone, there will be an estimate travel fee or clients have the option to send us photos / video and provide us with measurements.

CAN I VISIT YOUR LOCATIONS?

At this time we do not offer in-person visits or appointments to our workspaces or shops.

Workshops:

Due to safety and liability, our iron workshops and workspaces have dangerous equipment and are not suited for client visits. If you would like an update on the progression of your project, we will be happy to provide you with photos or video. We also arrange all pick-ups and drop-offs for our client's convenience, including picking up payment checks.

Offices:
We contract with 3rd party scheduling and marketing teams that help us connect with clients in all of the cities we service ( you may see our marketing listings in more than one area ). These are private office locations and are not open to the public.

DO YOU OFFER SHOP DRAWINGS + MOCKUPS?

Yes, we offer drawings and mockups. 2D project drawings can be provided upon request after a project deposit is received. If drawings are requested before a deposit is made, there will be a $100 fee per drawing. If the client decides to move forward with the project, the fee will be deducted from the project total.

WHAT IS STANDARD VS. ABOVE STANDARD?

Our standard construction is :

  • 5/8” Square 16 Gauge Tubular Pickets
  • 4” Spacing
  • 1-1/2” or 1-1/4” Sq. 16 Gauge Tubular Framing or Cross Members
  • 2” or 3” Sq. 16 Gauge Tubular Posts
  • 22 Gauge Perforated Sheet Metal for Gates & Doors

Anything outside of our standard construction including sizes and ornamental work is considered above standard and will be priced accordingly.

Our pricing for custom build gates and fencing is between $55-$140 / linear foot, depending on the size, design, and materials. Doors start at $45 / linear foot. All other projects including furniture and custom pieces are priced independently.

DO YOU INSTALL AUTOMATIC GATES?

Yes, we install automatic gates. We work with LiftMasters but we highly recommend Calimet. In the event of aftercare needs or client trouble shooting after installation, Calimet has better customer service and local servicing in Los Angeles County. Calimet also has faster opening times, more programming options, and other features that are superior to LiftMaster.

WHAT SETUP IS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATIONS OR REPAIRS?
  • Our installers will need access to electrical sockets or electricity sources within 200ft of the work area. ( Installers will have their own cables that reach up to 200ft )
  • We ask that you please keep any pets, animals, and children away and clear from the work area for safety.
  • Welding requires special masks that guard the fabricators eyes from the strong light the welding equipment produces. It is advised that clients not look directly at the light or welding area when active welding work is in progress. It could potentially cause vision impairment.
  • Welding can emit sparks -- We advise removing any surrounding items that could potentially be flammable.
  • If areas require touch up paint, our installers will protect the surrounding areas as much as possible. Clients are welcome to provide their own tarp, coverings, or materials for extra protection.

"Tony did a fabulous job of replacing wrought iron wall at the side of my home. He was responsive during the planning time and was very timely in completing the work. He also was very thoughtful in making sure my dog was safe and never in the way during the work. That meant a lot to me. I would certainly recommend him for his professional and knowledgeable manner."

I can’t say enough of how much I appreciate the work that was done, how it was done on time, on budget, exactly what was discussed, and how great Ron was to not just work with but become friendly with. I deal with contractors and service workers in my home often as it’s an older large home in need of constant repairs, and I can say I don’t think I’ll ever need to replace the work they did.
